Occasionally we are getting a "rotten egg" smell coming out of the air vents , it was there a while a go, then went away, now it's back again,Vehicle has been serviced by franchise dealer since purchase and all filters done on time it is a 2012 Honda CRV .Any ideas .?

Could be exhaust gas getting into cabin - hot catalytic converters make a smell like this. During overtaking/hard acceleration?

Change the battery I have had this smell before and it was a faulty battery

Also change your windscreen washer fluid. Sometimes the water in there goes stale and starts to smell when you use it. Particularly when an additive has been added to the water such as meths or bug off etc. Has happened to me once or twice
