Well, it wouldn't be a thing of beauty for those of you who aspire to Calvin Klein black singlets and stubbies as formal wear.

Looks like plenty of ferrari help there, the front end reminds me of the front wing of an F1 car, and it has a Ferrari V8 too, nice.

What can I say? Those flat crank Ferrari V8's just sound yummy.
In comparison everything else sounds like an out of balance chaff cutter!

It's a V6 not a V8.
And it looks and sounds AWESOME!

Any idea what type of crank it has?

Mixed reviews. Nothing sounds quite like a proper 6 cylinder engine!
I liked the 159 front end with its triple round lights better though. This car just looks boxy and aggro, like they have felt the need to descend to the level of the RS Audis and BMW Ms they are competing against. Pushy, aggro cars for pushy, aggro people who have to pass everything RIGHT NOW.

good question, all I can find is that it is Ferrari devised and built and is completely new. But then the new Maserati uses a Ferrari derived v6 with twin turbos too! Would they really do different engines? There also a new 4 pot coming. Seems it has an akrapovic exhaust.

Apparently its the same base one as the one used in the Maserati Ghibli and the upcoming Ferrari Dino

Maserati said they were intending to take on the E 63 / M5 with the Ghibli S4 but with only 330kw? Now I see the intention was to leave the REAL running to Alfa with this 380kw stunner
