kero, or the cheap de-greaser from Suprercheap.

mrssmudge, Aug 15, 9:46am

If it's just a smallish stain, then oven cleaner will work.

luxy, Aug 15, 12:39pm
just pour some liquid washing detergent on it and walk away

if its fresh cheap supercheap degreaser will work fine. just spray and hose or scrub as well if its ingrained,

i bought expensive driveway cleaner and it worked less than a $4 of degreaser from sca

Coca Cola works a treat.

grangies, Aug 15, 6:31pm
How?

Wouldn't the Coca Cola leave an even worse stain?

One thing you could trust is the ants moving in! Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

Try putting some soil over it. It's worked for me when I've had that problem.

Am still waiting for someone to say :- Park one of your car's "driving" wheels onto the spill, select a low gear with clutch in, push accelerator to floor, slide foot off clutch pedal. This should help burn it off, and you will now just have a (still unsightly, but much dryer) mark on surface.
A different method is used if vehicle has automatic transmission.
That often works, but can sometimes leave another, possibly bigger pool of fluid under the engine straight after a very sudden bad noise.

Cover area with cement powder,it will draw up oil, then hose off

my guys at work drip hydraulic oil over the yard when they are taking old hoses out of the back of their trucks to the skip bin because they are lazy pricks, Anyway i got a degreaser fron elf oil (lubricants nz), its a concentrate and pour it on the stain give it a scrub with a stiff broom or the like, Leave it for a few minutes and hose it off, its pretty good stuff $50 for a 20 litre of it, pretty sure they do smaller containers of it.

No.

How about trying it before posting uninformed speculation?

Coke is probably one of the most effective grease and oil removers. I have used it many times. Apparently some people drink it.

neville48, Aug 17, 4:38pm
And rust remover too. and yur right, I have seen people drink it ?

tony9, Aug 17, 5:28pm
It is quite safe to drink, as long as it has enough alcohol to neutralise the bad bits.

grangies, Aug 17, 7:23pm
Well I was just wondering about the dark colouring in Coke and it staining the concrete with that.

If you had a nice white shirt that you stained with oil, would you pour Coke on it?

good one for concrete is to pour a bit of fresh petrol on it and let it soak for a minute then put some cement powder on it and leave it for half and hour then hose off have used it on my drive or go to mitre 10 or the likes and buy some stuff called basol 88 mix and strong thick paste work in and keep lightly wetting and scrubbing then hose off just dont let it get on paint work or aluminium
