No going back now! Gumdrop is in the shop and is being stripped back, repainted then down to cch to be airbrushed by mike lavallee! Letting him have free range and debuting at beach hop. Not quite " overhauling" but a big deal for me. (Had to brag)

No whoosh she will still be Aqua but mikes doing full artwork on her, and she'll be running hood and sides (so long as she doesn't overheat)

Is it being done as part of the 'academy' course as a "working demonstration" or are you getting it done down there as a proper paying customer because that's where he'll be?
Don't take this the wrong way Amber gumdrop (as he's your "chosen" painter) but in my opinion their are quite a few painters / AB artists in this country that are better than Mike Lavalee.
(I'm not one of them lol)

I'm getting it done before the course as a paying customer of mikes. I'm Interested in his creativity. He's only part of the total price, there's stripping, painting and transport as well. Gumdrop runs a 12.9 1/4 mile, and hasn't had a respray since the 80s

Runs a 355 chev 350 turbo trams, independent jag rear end, is all steel except for wooden floors and vinyl roof.
Assuming it changes colour will you change the name? Gumdrop won't make so much sense if it's red. Very nice, love idea of letting an auto artist have free rein and see what happens. Brave, and good on you.

If it ended up red tamarillo . Jelly Tip might fit. or Racin Raspberry. Red Hot Chilli or Torrid Tomali ? That's one cool ride man. bet it's blown a few doors off here and there?

Its staying that colour, and airbrushing on top. I like the colour, its really eyecatching. Thanks for compliments. Wont be posting any photos of it finished till after beach hop as will be stealthy. However check out facebook killer paint for mikes latest work in aus.
