Ive been looking for a bonnet for my old girl for ages. Have tried Rare Spares, TM, Auto Wreckers etc and cant find a thing. Anywhere else that anyone knows of that I might have better luck with?

you need to be careful with frontal body panels for these, while the 2 &4 door mk2 sedans were a new design, tight old ford still used the mk1 body for the mk2 wagons and vans, with different guards ( and possibly bonnets )on these and they are not the interchangeable with the sedans.

ironic, isn't it . not so terribly long ago, Escort & Cortina parts were a dime a dozen. Not so now, apparently.

It's an awesome place to loose yaself in.
While the rest of the crew where milling around, another old boy and I got wandering. He's a big fulla, and I said I hoped we didn't meet someone coming in the other direction while we were exploring down all the narrow alleys.

"She's right boy, you just stick behind and I won't stop, so they'll have to back up or get squashed."

When we heard the roar of V8's firing up, we realised we were being left behind.
"Stuff it - I've got my keys. Have you got your's"?

"Yeh boy - no hurry then eh"

Graeme may have 1 or 2 stashed away in the attic at Gaskin Ford Lower Hutt

What about a squircle headlight for a Mk1.
We hosted the Taupo Hotrod Club on Sat for a couple of shed raids. At the first call, the owner of the second planned raid backed into a Scort and broke the light. Apparently they are hard to find.

I have made a suggestion that he look for a 'round' grill, and replace those crap lights with round Halogen lights.
