Trouble with sissor jacks is that at the lowest height, they have very little leverage,, but as they get higher they work better and better. Just use two, one on each side if you need to lift two wheels up.

long pole and a block of wood would be easiest. still to hard, get a longer pole. not high enough, get a bigger block.
As above a trolly jack is not what i am looking for im awanting something better than cars jack that has to fit in behing fabric pannel on the side in boot

Get rid of the winder by welding a 3/4 drive socket on it & use the ratchet to wind it up/down with extension.

Weld a nut onto the jack and use a cordless drill, works a treat! Buy a cheap 2nd hand one with a stuffed battery and convert it to be powered from the cigarette lighter socket.
That is cool and fine and dandy but welding a nut on sounds so much easier and better lol thanks might do that tomorrow

Supercheap and the like sell geared versions of scissor jack, so much easier to wind, but slower still i quess, but then again maybe quicker as you can wind fast, anyone tried them?

Forgot to mention in my previous post that a hydraulic scissor jack is a good option as well.
