Sinking scenario

say you were in a car sinking, what would you use to smash a window? Presume the electric winders would crap out as soon as got wet.

You really need something designed to break glass. Automotive glass is strong and somewhat flexible it won't punch out easily. Chances are though you'll have a few minutes to wind down electric windows

Electric windows should work, for a short time, it's just that a lot of people panic and don't think about them as they struggle with the door.

Windows are pretty hard to smash. I would have a go at smashing a side or rear window with my foot.

they did this on mythbusters . . .

Car isnt going to sink till it runs out of air inside, at which time the pressure equalises and you open the door. The worst thing you could do would be to panic.

You would need something pointy to break a window, they are toughened glass. Maybe a seabelt buckle if you can swing it hard enough. My car has enough crap lying around Id be good as gold.

Wouldn't be a problem for a car we followed today.
Was a children's entertainer,, car was packed to the ceiling with balloons!

If you set all the airbags off. would that keep it afloat. ?
