Rad support panel does need in situ modification, it's not a bolt on conversion.

Thanx, what sort of mod? ive looked at a few Ford forums but theres no pics of doing it, just completed conversions.

I cant recall, it was something to do with making the BA headlights fit the AU support panel properly, something had to be cut and welded. A panelbeater I used to do work for bought an AU3 Futura wagon that had been in a front end smack when it was still quite new and put a BA boss XR8 front on it and sprayed it to match the rest of the car. It made it into something that was real distinctive that looked current/factory at the time given the similarities between the AU-B series wagon rear ends but still retained the IMO nicer AU dash instead of that horrible cheap looking B series dash and instruments that looked like they were made by a pinball machine manufacturer. I've since lost contact with him, there was only one significant mod that was needed, the rest was easy. I think the headlight loom did need to be modded to run the quad XR highbeams, I remember on AU's the XR's used the Futura engine bay loom anyway that used a patch harness to run the XR lamps. It's all a bit long ago for me to recall right.

To be honest , by the time you get the parts you need and paint it , it would be cheaper and easier just to sell the AU and buy a BA. They are as cheap as chips these days.
