Hi mate ! thanks for that but i was wondering how they would go up against one another. I know Dixon tried out for F1 but didn't make it. Away from an oval track would the Indy cars compete with the F1s?

Good question, would be a fascinating trial. I would at a guess because of the higher horsepower from F1 that they would out accelerate the Indy car.

Nothing to do with performance with regards to Dixon. It who the sponsors want in the cars.

Dixon wasnt interested in F1 anyway . Funny ting tho their Honda engines do well in Indy cars but they cant make them reliable or powerfull enough to be competitive in F! yet Mc laren sticking with them for another season at least

Not even close.
Indycar is more like Formula 2. F2 is a great series to watch, but gets less attention as it is only up and coming drivers who move on (or are forced to).
When you look at how overweight and unfit Montoya is, and remember Dixon was going to a Taco Bell drive-through when mugged, you can also see that fitness levels in the drivers is equally different.
Another engine supplier for F1 would be good. It tends to be a major limit on how many front-running teams there can be.

Montoya has enough mil $ to buy himself a seat for life in indycar racing which is why hes still there . Few manufacturers can cut it in F! as Toyota found to their enormous expense & even BMW pulled the plug
