Is there a trick? I've never got it to work yet.

Hopefully it won't be for much longer. Sky's last bastion of viability is their near exclusive sports coverage. That is simply not enough to sustain them and their platform in the long term. Bring on their demise I say because like Telecom they have used background dirty tricks to rip off the NZ public for decades.

Might be you think it's too late in season to pay up but for $40 Aussie bucks you can live stream every race in season. But. You have to get your device pretending it is not in NZ. I hear that hula works well, just tell it to route you through uk or us. https://www.supercars.com/superview/

Actually, the ever increasing number of ad breaks was one of the deciding factors for me cancelling my subscription.

Sky not my favourite people. BUT. How much do you think you should pay to be connected for 4 days only, with of course all the associated paper work. and should Sky also supply similar service for those who just want to watch one particular rugby match or the final only of the bachelor thing or maybe a particular film & lots of etceteras. Bathurst is special to you, but I think most of us also watch the V8 races in between & maybe F1 & Nascar. Don't think we should have to subsidise a once a year wonder. I mean that in the nicest possible way. :-)
Can see your point but I disagree. Its a bit like going to the supermarket to buy an apple only to be told you have to buy 60 red delicious and 30 granny smith when you only wanted 1 Royal Gala.
Or to put a motoring spin on it I want to buy $20 of petrol but the servo decides the minimum charge is $500 even if I only put 1 litre in the car or even worse I have to buy an additional $500 worth of diesel, which I have no use for, in the same transaction.
Sky is a retailer and they need to wake up and supply the product that a customer might want to purchase.
AFAIK it makes no difference to their costs if 1 person is watching or 100,000 people are watching. As it stands at the moment you have to purchase the package but you cant watch them all at once so even if you are happy to pay for the package you are paying for things that at any particular point in time you can not use.

They've got a brilliant recording system. I use it quite regularly.
Yeah - I grizzle at the cost, but I get to watch the things I want.

We are going to buy the Fan Pass for a month at $99. It will be worth it. Geez you could spend that money on a meal out and a few drinks, tha'ts the way we look at it. Last year we could not get it on Fan Pass as it was on a pop up chanel. I did contact them about that & they said due to it being on a pop up chanel it could not be put on Fan Pass. This year it is on Sky4. So, there is the practice on Friday, Top Ten Shoot Out on Saturday, Bathurst on Sunday. Then if you have it for a month. There is the Gold Coast 600 on 20th to 22 October. Then 3rd to 5th November there is the Pukekohe- Auckland Super Sprint.

You're probably wanna strangle me, But I asked about the 2016 Bathurst 1000 on a Pop-up channel that Fan Pass couldn't get, somewhere during the week Sky TV gave Fan Pass access, so sorry about this, you could've watched last year's race on Fan Pass.

Yep +1 i wouldnt be without it . no other crowd is interested in motor sports not even FOX so who else is going to cover it all fro F1 to superbikes . Plus their great doco channels . .

I've just paid $99 to get a month of all 4 Sky Channels, all 2017 Bathurst coverage is on Sky Sport 4.
The bonus is right now they are raiding the old video vault and playing back the Bathurst Classics, I've just watched the 1999 and 2004 races.
Check out the guide of what's on here: https://www.sky.co.nz/tvguide You have to scroll down to Channel 054, then click an item on the list to get the info.
Also the Top Ten Shootout programmes are not what you'd think with the V8's going for a the quickest time, qualifying for the race.
It's not about that, instead it's the Top Ten Shootout of the history of the Race.
$99 maybe a bit high in price, but it is way cheaper than actually going to Bathurst.

Yeah Fanpass used to be $55 a month, which wasn't too bad. Nearly doubling the price because they are losing subscribers?
