Been to damn long to remember. However 2 of your wires from the distributor go to the coil positive and negative. And the 2 loom wires will possibly both go to the coil positive -easy way to check these is one will have power with the ignition on and the other will have power when the engine is being cranked by the starter motor.[6volt coil with ballast resistor and 12 volt feed when cranking] If there is a rev counter in the dash and power is not as described then one of the loom wires may be a negative coil rev counter pick up. Suggest ring one of ya local auto sparkies or mitsy dealer to confirm which wire [blue or black white stripe is coil positive from distributor-been too many years lol]
Hope This Helps

From here suggests blue negative coil and black white positive coil. However as above would double check with an auto sparky
Black/White wire to 12V ignition circuit -- the POSITIVE coil connector for an EI Coil. Or the POSITIVE side of the ballast resistor if you haven't got the EI coil yet. The distributor control unit needs a full 12V Blue wire to NEGATIVE coil connector

Thanks for that, I can confirm that the loom black with white stripe is power, no rev counter, just don't know what is power from distributor. Yeah its too old for most to remember.

Thanks , sorry , its a Mitsi L200 4g63 and just standard coil with no attached resistor as seen on later utes with the 2.6 motor.

bigfatmatt may pop in he will know for sure although #3 and the memory sort of align but either way they go where ya removed em from-LOL Next time use ya phone or digital camera to take some photos . LOL
Edits to add eighties and electronic ignition be pretty damn sure it is a ballasted system. Simply use a test light and check for power with engine cranking.
