After a lot of faffing around it seems that sections of the Auckland motorway currently 80km/h will revert to 100km/h. The sections around the waterview tunnel will be 100km/h -except the tunnel itself.

Took them blimmin long enough. I am ALWAYS overtaken when I stick to the limit doing 80kmph approaching the tunnels.

It just means more tickets for those entering the tunnel over speed and more hitting the anchors just before the tunnel causing more problems .

what about the 27km of motorway that has in real terms nothing to do with the tunnel? -SH16 to town and back from rosebank and all the rest of the motorway leaving the tunnels? --ie from a km beyond?

If the speed limit is 100 and you do 100 you'll still be overtaken by speeders. Most of the time there is a lot of traffic on that section of motorway.

looks like from Monday the section of 16 from Rosebank to springs offramp is 100 in offpeak Spagetti to rosebank. from tunnel exit southbound and the 100 extends to past Moire rd heading into the tunnel. Then the next bit will be st lukes into spaghetti
