So we got some new neighbours, just moved here from Singapore. Really nice people. They have a longish drive. Our house looks down over them. The other day I hear a car start up. Seemed to muck around for ages.
So I walked out on to the deck and its the new neighbour. She's trying to navigate her drive. Now the drives not that bad. For Auckland she has quite a large driveway with room to turn around at the top, near her house. And yet she seemed to be struggling. She was driving a late model Lexus. She was going forward, then backing up, then going forward. She just couldnt get it right.

Made me think of a previous day when I was going out, she was sideways across her drive. I was trying to figure out what the hell she was doing parked like that and how she had got there. Still was none of my business. I had just carried on and left her to it.

Well this time, she was really making a mess of it. She looked like she scraped the retaining wall, and then she shot forward and ended up parked in the fence stuck on some bushes. Some of the neighbours came out to help so i left them too it.

A while later a tow truck shows up and tows away the car with damage all down the side of it.

I got to speaking to the neighbour who has a deck that has supports on the side of the shared driveway. He said she nearly took those out the other day. He's an older guy and says he freaks every time he hears her start her car. He rushes out to try to guide her lol.

How does some one make things so hard. Its a simple driveway. Besides she has room to turn around up by her own house.

Be careful people. She is sharing the same roads we drive on.

Saw a posh looking lady in a huge 4X4 looking very indecisive at the petrol station today, going forwards and backwards and finally parking at the pump with her gas cap on the other side. I thought, this will be interesting as I could see straight away the hose was not going to reach. Sure enough, after pulling it harder and harder, she decides that too, so off she went and parked on the other side, but interestingly chose the first pump instead of pulling forward, so no one could access the pump in front. Cars were right behind her and simply had to wait for her to pump, pay and leave before they could proceed.
I just sat there and shook my head in disbelief.

Talking gas station etique, the ones that put $10 in their vehicle, then go inside, browse the magazines and order a coffee while their car prevents anyone else using the pumps really piss me off too.
