Isn't that always the case?
I'm in an ongoing dialogue with NZTA who are being most helpful about accident statistics, but what they collect and what the police collect, need to be tied down to a specific accident but they cannot release the accident ID number.
What the police collect will include those already on bail or with a criminal record, but NZTA doesn't collect that info and what I really want to do is some analysis on road fatalities and that means linking two sets of data.
Only then can we get a clearer picture as to how many road traffic fatalities are caused by drivers who to all and intents and purposes are criminals or who have committed a criminal act (eg stolen car, not stopping for the police etc.).
This yobbo is a potential killer.

Well at least he was off the road for a while. May have been a wake up call, but not so sure that it was as he seemed to have taken it in his stride.
