Spare proximity key

manolo, Oct 8, 10:24pm
Hi Guys I have a 2010 Subaru Outback. Unfortunately it only has 1 key and my mechanic suggested that because of the immobilizer and the prox key set up I should have a spare one. Apart from getting one from winger is there another place that people could recommend? I'm in Auckland. How much is it likely to cost me?

Thanks Rob

I had same problem with an imported Toyota, a new proximity key was going to cost $1200 so went to a guy on North Shore, cost me $198, it`s not the exact thing, but does the trick.
It`s just a Key, with a plastic head, the key unlocks the door, manually, i hold the plastic head over the start button, till ignition comes on and it starts. I`ll find the guy`s address and get back to you.
