Well done for not gifting your hard earned money to the government. With so many other drivers speeding through there how did you avoid all the accidents? Does anyone know how many people have died or been seriously injured in the tunnel.

That was a few weeks ago, she may have had another few since.

if 50 people burned to death in a similar tunnel in japan.
If 20 were killed or seriously injured in a tunnel in Switzerland
Both traced to having excess speed as a contributing factor
Do we A) pay heed or B) go "ohh its never happened in OUR tunnel" ?

According to the Police, approx. 100 of the people who died on NZ roads last year were not wearing seat-belts.

^^^^ pity the cameras dont show that , they could get even more revenue from joe public ,perhaps also check rego & WOf even more $ but $ doesnt go into police budget so dont expect any plods to turn up for your burgulary anytime soon

Yep! It's true. 6 in every 1000 vehicles were caught speeding. not as bad as it is been made out to be, is it?

It is my believe that it is not speed that causes the accidents but people following too close. They should ticket those who do not keep a safe distance.

i have used it up to 6 times a day since it opened.
