I remember going to Waikaraka park and watching Reg drive his little "racing brick" mini in the 70's. Never really knew how he got in or out of it being so tall. What an effort by this group.

Great stuff!
Bonneville is great to see, a ‘must do’ for any speed freak.
We've just come off the salt today, (Thursday here in Utah). A very busy day. Cookie is the 2000 cc Nissan coupe. We have run it in 3 classes. The main difference being changes to the aero kit we can use. This morning we did our backup run with full kit on. 201mph. The stream liner known as Wairua set a record yesterday I think it is 278mph. Today we had a crack at a 298 record but fell a bit short. We will try again tomorrow.

Quick update for you in case you haven't seen it elsewhere. We took the streamliner out for that last ditch crack at 300mph. We did actually achieve a terminal velocity of 302, however it was not within one of the measured miles. So no official record, but certainly a great deal of satisfaction knowing we can do,it. Speed week is all over we are packed up and heading back to base just out of Saltlake. City. Most of the team are heading home to NZ, then in September we all come back for the second round. If anyone is interested I'll put any news here for you. Thanks for your interest and support.
