Some on here believe it could be. Interesting break down of the efficiencies of each step of each process though.

It doesn't add up, the energy required to isolate it is less than the energy you get back from it by a large factor.
I didn't follow the link but I'm guessing that's the gist of it.

I can't see it being be for small vehicles but for ships and possibly trucks where the added cost of the fuel can be recuperated in transport cost to the customer. Note that there has been a recent break though in that they can convert ammonia back to hydrogen that means fuel transporting and storage should be easier but the efficiency losses are still going to be far greater than battery power
