Selling a "Barnfind"

When it has been listed and is nearing the end of the auction timeframe would you wash it to help show its condition, rather than leave it coated in dust/dirt?.

Presumably no bids? Generally no, leave as is - or add a bit to the listing saying that if anyone is genuinely interested but is put off by the dust, you'd be prepared to clean it and post additional photographs.

A 'barn find' 1960's Maserati however, is not exactly in the same league as a 'barn find' Toyota Starlet.

Would depend what it is. Personally if it was a decent vehicle I would have it clean, tidy, running and probably ready to drive.

It would have to be something really, really special to not clean it IMO. Like six figures special and super rare.

1960's vehicle which has been stored for 40ish years. Yes it has bids and will be sold. Just the same brand vehicles listed or very recently sold have had alot of surface rust on the bonnet, roof, side panels etc which this one does not.

Take and post pics of it dusty and dirty as found, then clean it and take & post more.
