You could try trim restorer from Repco or supercheap. Revives the plastic/vinyl.

Has she tried a scrubbing brush and some good car wash (XT88)?
Might just be full of polish residue etc if she is lucky.

Depending on how much work you are prepared to do for a permanent repair:

Just buy can of black vinyl spray paint & do the whole thing

thejazzpianoma, Aug 28, 12:30am
This every time. I haven't found anything decent in a rub on solution that is even remotely as good.

Run along it with a heat gun, brings the plasticiser to the surface, will look like new.

gazzat22, Aug 28, 2:05am
If i havent got a heat gun would a hairdryer on full heat do?

fungles, Aug 28, 2:08am
Try it. but probably not hot enough.

thejazzpianoma, Aug 28, 2:20am
You might actually ruin the hair dryer running it that long and that close to something. Heat guns are cheap, you don't need a fancy one.

gammelvind, Aug 28, 3:37am
This, just buy a cheap heat gun.

Alternate option.Mask and paint to a color match or even an accent color--Looks stunning.

msigg, Aug 29, 11:52pm
Trogedon has the answer. Mind u most people don't know what nugget is. They only have running shoes.

kazbanz, Aug 30, 12:14am
--And never run?
