Good to see they finally gave him a decent car , no breakdowns or failures & came 14 just behind his team mate . But the announcers have written him off for a drive next year saying he was useless & wont get a drive . Plus an inspired drive by Hamilton to go from 14 th to first & by a country mile as the ferrari threat fizzeled out .

It was a tyre lottery in the middle of the race.

Really exciting to watch and some of the teams made substantial mistakes, such as Ferrari for Vettel and TR for Gasly.

Lewis and Brendon each ended up being on a 'winning' strategy.

This is continuing to be one of the greatest seasons to watch - as far as not knowing what the outcome will be race to race.

Well done Brendon. Fantastic race by Lewis, this certainly is one of the most exciting and unpredictable seasons for some time, great viewing.

Excellent race. Lewis is one heck of a driver, though I find him incredibly hard to like or support.

The article I read said it was his second point?

Kiwi driver Brendon Hartley claimed a championship point with a 10th place finish at the Hockenheimring. It was just his second point of the season.

Yup. Good season so far.

As usual, absolutely zero about the lead up to the GP or Saturday's Aussie V8' results in the Sunday Star Times.

TR's engines seem to be getting better in terms of reliability, thank goodness but if Red Bull are switching to Honda power next season, they'll need a bit more improvement pretty soon, otherwise Red Bull will only be midfield runners at the beginning of next season.

^^ should borrow the honda indy powerplant worlks well for Dixon top of the championship ATM after Toronto . Been good month for kiwi racers . not that youd know from the media .
