I have a Holden series ii VE ute , and i used the jack the other day, and it had a sticker on it that that stated ''VE /VF '' on it. How is that possible ? The VF didn't exist then !

Yes it most likely would have, most cars are thought about etc years before production. Mock ups can be made years before production line starts. In todays world the process has been speed up with CAD. Which im sure results in modern cars having many an issue prob not to much real world testing anymore.

I have a vague recollection that the there was a mistake labeling the VE Jacks, the wrong maximum lifting weight was printed on the warning label. They were recalled by Holden and new labels fitted that were applicable to both.
