My car has four cams, reverse, top down (wing mirror ones) and front.
They were working this afternoon but then stopped. It isn’t the button as they start automatically ie when in reverse etc. none of them are showing, ie if the screen Is displaying the radios when I go into reverse it stays on that.
Pressing the cam button doesn’t show it either. I’d sssume it’s a link to the display or something similar?
It’s a year old so obviously will take back to dealer but just asking on the off chance there’s something obvious I can check simply - to save me loosing my car for a bit and taking time off work etc,
Thanks!

Any error messages coming up in the gauge display? Reverse lights working? Unless there is something specifically inhibiting the operation of the camera system (may be listed in the owners manual?) then yes its going to mean a dealer visit. Could possibly be a software glitch.

No error messages it just doesn’t flick to camera in reverse or as I’m getting closer to something etc.
Also used to be able to push the cam button and flick through kerbside cam etc, nothing happens now.
Not sure if the cams are not working or just not displaying.
Haven’t checked reverse as live on my own and nothing I can look into Ie glass etc to see, also as mentioned it’s not limited to the reverse one,
Damn may be a visit to the dealer, second time (diff issue) Last time was a mission to diagnose issue and required a few visits so hopefully not this time.

My Everest comes up with camera and safety system not working on the dash all the time but all i have to do is wash it. Easy fix.

Wash the cam bit? There’s four and none working so not sure if it just needs a clean unless one failing causes all To stop?
Had it just over a year and first time it’s come up, if still not working tomorrow will go to dealer, it’s under warranty.

Yes this. Very, very occasionally the Lens on the front camera on my vehicle obviously gets dirty (especially this time of year) and it malfunctions all the cameras. Wash the car seems to resolve the issue. Worth a try.

Thanks. Not allowed to use hoses here but was washed at car wash two weeks ago but will give the camera areas a clean without using hose, doesn’t seem that dirty (has been way dirtier!) but who knows :-)

well it worked fine this morning! not sure what changed, (had already turned the car on and off yesterday to try and fix so wasnt that) but glad its working.
Will keep an eye on it and if it plays up again go visit the dealer. Glad its going and saves me the hassle of going there now :-)
Thanks

glad your toys are working again. old tech, the mark1 eye, is so out of fashion isn't it?

still use that more than the cams, but the cams are handy. like the top down one to see how close you are to things in tight spaces.
and front one is good for a cat that lies on the parking area and doesnt leabe till the last minute! way after you can see her in front of your car when pulling in! :-)

Given this is a system fault I would E MAIL your dealer and log the fault. Its a 2 year old car so is covered under the new car warranty. Id also suggest asap to take it in to be scanned whilst any systems fault codes are still fresh. Given its every camera my concern is that its a fault in the head unit or the computer that runs the cameras

its not even two yet, its about 15 months old.
Thats what i thought regarding not the cameras as all of them went out so thought the same, knew it wasnt one camera and knew it wasnt the button to press it as happened when it went in reverse etc too. . will email today. thanks
