Hi there just wondering if anyone knows how to go about converting a column change manual ute (2wd) to a floor change. Is it only a matter of getting floor change assembly or does the whole box have to come out and major parts swapped over

i don't know nissan but have dealt with toyotas and they have a different gear box. you can easily tell by looking underneath to see where the control rods go to on the gearbox, ie to the side of the gearbox or on top.

So if they are on top floor change would be an easier conversion if not the end of the box would have to be swapped out?

i don't have the book on the D21, just looking at the early d22 (no column change). its possible to change the rear half of the gearbox over, assuming its the same model gearbox. but thats a fair bit of work. a whole lot easier just to swap a whole gearbox over. especially as you need a donor gearbox/ute to get parts from any way.
