Two cars looked at and needing to go and look at a third one. The two I have looked at Mazda CX30 and Subaru VX . Next one to look at a Nissan Qashqai. Thoughts please good bad and ugly about the three above cars . Thank you in advance.

Yea the CX30 or the Subaru VX are better than the Qashqai in my opinion. You really need to go for a few runs in each and see which one you like, I don't like the look of the early Qashqai, my partner got the RAV4 over that.

Mazda now have a CX30 and I guess it is legacy VX. The pamphlet just says Subaru VX.

Mazda is by far the newer design and newer tech Etc so on that basis I’d favour that. But actually I’d get a decent small hatch instead.

There is also the Subaru Outback X limited Edition (2.5 litre engine etc) Replace the Nissan on the list with the 2021 Kia Seltos (probably won't be in NZ till end of the year?)

Im so sorry-Genuine old man brain fart . So in "normal" car terms a CX30 is a tall mazda 3 /axella A Subaru VX is a tall "imprezza" A Qashqai (Dualis) is a tall "tiida" or Pulsar. In my opinion Your best choice is the Mazda. UNLESS you plan on a lot of rough road/off road type driving in which case I reckon the Subaru will handle the jandle better. The Dualis /Qashqai really is showing its age technology wise. Its been face lifted a couple of times but is still the same mid 2000s technology under the skin -I reckon 2021 will see a brand new replacement. That said That's without looking at the dollars involved. For example I don't reckon the mazda is 10k more than the Nissan.

what year astra because i have hada 2003 astra and thats is wider and bigger then the 07 passat the passat is way wider and bigger on outside and way smaller on inside. my 1996 fiat punto is way wider inside then the newer car biigger is often smaller . And not just a bit by massive ammounts. boot load space approximate within 1 cm Vw passat station wagon 1.0 meter- Astra 2003 station wagon 1meter 15cm wide boot and fiat punto 96 mk1 hatchback boot load space 1 meter 5 centimeter wide. its a friggen joke . tha passat is the widest on outside the astra the secound widest and the punto the smallest as its just a tini hatchback car.

Have a 2017 Astra hatchback manual. Current living arrangements would make a electric unsuitable. Liked the CX30. Interested though with the Mazda about the battery that is needed to run the Istop? Like the Subaru too but the cvt part I am not sure about. Reading the comments in here there is lots of choice.
