Poppy, I have a good friend who has just bought a brand new Toyota Supra. Don’t think I called him a drone. More like: “You lucky bastard!” Lol.

No. Absolutely not - except for scruffy gits in scruffy cars.

I drive a d21 Navara to my office job wearing a tailored suit and Italian shoes. Worst looking car in the carpark. also the most reliable and cheapest to maintain.

what if you own many different cars? surely not Bi-polar, DID or schizophrenia.
poppy62,

“You lucky bastard!” That would only apply to the BMW part of the Supra!

No. I’m sure I’d be judged differently tho if I was in my 2019 new car vs my 1995 old car,
Same person, one nice clean and new, one old and not as great condition, they both have a purpose tho!

Often, but not always.

For what it's worth from my experience "can you really judge a person by what they drive" says a lot more about the little man asking the question than the person driving the car of his choice.

No, you can only judge people who judge people by what they drive. Fashion victim tossers.

I drive a bright red falcon, live in West Auckland and my name's Cheryl. Bet you can't guess what colour hair I have!

Nahh.--in the last 48 hours Ive ridden my FJR1300.driven a bright pink 1300 vitz, a $500 pile of crud with more hits than elvis and a late model lexus. I've also recently sold a 3k car with all the clear coat peeling off it to a multi millionaire who wants it to leave at the marina when he's out on his ship-hard to call it a boat.

I got rid of my bright red alfa, got a red 1990 1000cc toyota starlet to replace it as spare car(zero electronics in it, none at all, still points and coil and carb). Also have a Black double cab navara 4wd, and just recently added a new dark grey holden spark Lt as main shopping and local run around car(surprisingly quick, and fun), but for a bit more fun added a new bright red holden astra rs-v hatchback as well, with every option fitted. And looking at campervans and house buses currently as well. so yeh i do notice i get different looks from some folk, as a single bloke, depending on what won the coin toss today.

Yes you can. Anyone who drives a yellow car is either colour blind or has just given up caring. They are probably also wearing socks and sandals.
Seems to me then you haven’t got any experience at all. Just another keyboard worrier. These are the cars I drive, English 1972 Ford Cortina 2 door Mk3 / 07 Ford Mustang Boss / 07 Mazda MPV. Have you got anything to say now?

Cool car. Imagine how much better it would look in a different colour.

The scruffiest guys you have ever met have stumped up 6 figures for my USA high performance sports cars. No, I wouldn't let teenagers test drive them, and you can make certain generalisations, but I have been proved wrong on many occasions. Gut instinct and experience tells you a lot.

The Cops seem to confiscate a lot of those 6 figure cars from those scruffy chaps.
