You can't have been to germany(no speed limits) , france, italy , get in their way and they will shove you off the road, then there's asia and india, try those countries out. Also mexico, you would be likely to get a shotgun in the side of the head for being a dick. That's the problem here in NZ, always trying to re-invent the wheel. America has been dealing with roads far more complicated than this back water and with higher speeds, snow, ice, heat waves and more volume. Learn to drive or stay in the cities.

Well maybe it would be nice to spend hundreds of billions of dollars to have 6 line highways everywhere, but it wastes land, and there are better things to spend money on.
Better fuel economy from driving a bit slower too, so can buy more beers.

I drove in Italy, Germany, France and the drivers were way more chilled out. They didn't seem to have the ego problems many drivers have here.
Asia isn't a country. I have ridden motorbikes in Indonesia and Vietnam sand they are very courteous on the roads, and the drivers of big trucks are careful around other smaller vehicles such as motorbikes.
I have never driven in Mexico or India so couldn't comment.
