Maybe that's the real reason he left for the USA

strange - i normally have the opposite effect .

Great driver and seems like a nice guy, hope he does well over there.

+1 and probably a lot more.At least he hasnt done a Dean Barker/Brad Butterworth/Russell Coutts and a few others

Good on him. I wish him well. A massive change from tin tops.

At least Scott Dixon had a good bit of single seater experience.

No doubt that even with 2 Kiwis, the Herald will be hard pushed to even give them a mention each race weekend.

Even the Herald's Bathurst report failed to mention Coultard, Heimgartner and Pither.(I'm assuming Pither was competing!), but manages goodness knows how many comments on the rugby.

The Herald aint reporting on much other than Ardern and Labour feel-good opinion pieces.
Dumped my subscription well over a year ago.

Pither was 16th at Bathurst with Steve Owen in the Team Sydney entry.

Pither won the Super 2 Series in 2018.

So true. he was ok when driving for Volvo giving GM and Ford a bit of stick, but it all went to his head with Pensky. turned into a sniveling little smart arse. good bye.

elect70, Oct 25, 10:41am
Penske runs at least 4 cars in his indy team N & Mac will be the new kid & long hard road to r the top . Look how long it took Dixon .He might regret leaving SC & all the glory . Still good luck to him . Wonder if DJR retains Coultard

watched " BORN RACER " last night and really enjoyed it , a bit of an insight into behind the pit wall action etc

Your comment says more about you than what sort of a person Scott McLaughlin is. Nasty and mean spirited person.

bill-robinson, Oct 25, 8:01pm
looks to me like some people here think that aussie taxi racing is the only form of racing worth doing.

harm_less, Oct 25, 8:10pm
McLaughlin got 10th fastest practice time, Dixon 16th fastest. Kiwis doing well.

Are you perchance a Holden lover. ?

Good on Scotty, he is a racer through and through, this is his job. He is very good at it, He will earn lots more dosh in the US and maybe fame, maybe not, He is excited and who wouldn't be, great to have ambitions, life is short so go do whatever you want, Have fun.

Look how long it took Dixon to do what? Indy Lights champion , pacwest ( gets their final win ), then Ganassi. Rest is history.
