I have one of these as a runabout, know its a Toyota BB. It has a knock in the front end around town going over even small bumps, is this a known issue (like strut tops failing etc etc)? Done 130km, cheers

Strut top mounts would be the first place I would look

Check the sway bar links or the mount saddles , a cheap repair to the saddle bushes is remove saddle rubbers and wrap insulation tape round the bar serveral rounds where the rubbers wear, refit and a quiet car
