I was there spectating, a looooong day it was 5 bikes all up , the Gen1 turbo Busa will be at Ruapuna drags tomorrow and the young fella riding it did 328kph yesterday.

Phills bike has damaged pistons , they thought originally a headgasket.

I know its not quite the same thing as doing your own bike etc, but as far as I know the current NZ record is 307kmh, dont know why someone just doesnt get a Kawasaki H2R and blow that record out of the water, they are capable of 400kmh stock standard.

noodleman4, Apr 12, 8:03am
That was the Turkish superbike rider over the bridge ? Doubt it was stock.
Speed record up at Reporoa a couple of weeks back and the H2Rs only just made 201 - 203 mph

Happy you enjoyed it & thanks for the extra added links. All good.

Yea thats the one, yea that one is not an accurate speed run, more of a promo stunt, the 400kmh was what the bikes speedo showed and we all know how inaccurate they are, there is another real one were to japanese riders got to 352kmh or so.
