Just curious what the top speed of most alloy 7meter fishing boats can do. I realise loading and sea make a difference but just a couple of guys and fishing gear basically.

A cruise speed in the 21 - 27 Knots range (39-50 km/h), and a top speed in the 32 - 40 Knot range (59 -74km/h) would be typical.
Of course the above numbers are quite dependent on the size of the engine. Top speed in largely inaccessible when the sea is rough for comfort reasons. Also fuel consumption gets a bit out of hand running top speed in a boat of that size.

My neighbour has a 7m Tristram, a glass boat, but with a 200 Yamaha it does 72kph. I know this.
Not exactly what i had in mind of a 7m alloy fishing boat. The likes of a McClay, White pointer, Ramco, Fryan, Extreme, Southern Boat etc was what i was thinking.
