Brand new tyres could be faulty. And did the vibration only start after the fitment of the new tyres? That should have been a clue. Fitting ceramic disc rotors in an attempt to fix a vibration is just gay.

The tyres were probably not fitted correctly. Most high speed rated tyres have two balancing marks on them. A yellow denotes the lightest part of the tyre and a red dot denotes the part of the tyre with the most runout. With quality wheels there should be a mark on the outside if the rim showing where to align the red dot. If there isn't then put the yellow dot by the valve stem. At higher speeds it much better to have the red dot aligned properly with the rim.

I've heard of that issue before, it is something more associated with low quality tyres that are clearly not subject to the same QC processes regardless of which (quality) tyre company they state they're a subsidiary of. It would have been interesting to have seen video footage of what the treads were doing on all 4 tyres when the vibration occured.

O dear the pouty lip. Do you think some precious little offended petal will report your post and get it removed because you address me directly there? You know, like the last time I addressed you directly?

Maybe the vibration was from having a hypocrite in his boot?

so rolando you waited till it was over lol . No the vibration was from a heavy spot pulling the tyre like a EGG out of shape and its started to stencil the ground due to law of physics at 150kph.

Now one could say that would never happen in new Zealand because we have a 100kph speed limit.
The point of it was to find out what the problem was and not to argue who said something wrong.

#28 the tyre where German law compliant it was clearly corner cut manufacturing.
its why i stand by only 1 brand as i want the lowest price and best quality and that is jinyu blacklion tyres same company for both brand names.
#29 yes i know i was wondering who removed it i start to think its actually a Ai robot or something . i also seen loadfs other posts removed non was offensive. youtube has a similar problem with some peoples videos pulled by what got to be A.i robots.

i do wonder if the cheaper tyre brands are more out of balance . The red and yellow dots on a tyre are the spots a tyre is out of balance. The last 2 blacklion i fitted had the dots oposite. There is no explention to the dots other then what i found out by extensive research and some on here also did know about. Having them oposite i think would mean its cancled out . other then that you should put it oposite the valve but i dont know what color is what . So to fit that tyre with the waight in rubber problem.
one would have to balance first the rim to 0 then fit the tyre and see where the imbalace is and then set it fitted oposite the waight already on the rim. To try and make them usable and hope the tyre does not turn to a EGG but most probably it wil do and should not have had the speed rating that the manufacturer put on to start with.

I waited. what a goober. Yes yes, you and your latest soap bubble of thought about what you saw on youtube etc is so very very important!

i cant believe how many workshops in Nz dont use picoscope, i have been using this scope for the last 9 years, the NVH kit is awesome and you need the kit to be connected plus i also use the transducers, ive spent a easy 20k on picoscope over the years. if any real mechanics are interested speak to Mike at metermaster! pico library and forums are a great source of data. good call intrade!

Many years ago I had a Valiant Charger & back seat passengers started complaining of a vibration, but driver & front seat felt nothing so long story short I did UJ bearings, then wheel bearings, then driveshaft balance but still the vibe was there. a few times I even got a mate to drive while I sat in the back & there was still a faint shimmy coming through the back seat. Finally put front wheels on ramps jacked rear up & on stands, car running & in gear & climbed under with screwdriver listening stick. Worked my way from the diff to the front, the more forward I got the worse it got, finally found it, water pump bearings. Water pump was making none of the usual grumbling noises but through the screwdriver it was certain. Replaced water pump & vibes went away.
