Passed a '53 commemorative model on the motorway the other day. Couldn't work it out from the back, but once I saw the front, knew what it was.

Get the Carbon Edition.

Or create a carbon edition by setting fire to the damn thing. GM took a dump on Australia and NZ and killed (yet another) previously good brand by selling trash, and also said that RHD vehicles were not worth producing. Why anyone here would trust what they say let alone support them is anyones guess.

GM has to be in the running for the worst car company

Drive a C7 or C8 Corvette or a 1LE Camaro and you might change your mind.

What about the other 99% of GM's production?
tgray,

Ford make the Mustang and the Ranger. I would say the other 99% of their production is worse than GM's.

Re "worst company etc" The whole "GM" thing is/was just a confusing nightmare worldwide. A "Chevrolet" in America was also, wait for it. a Suzuki Ignis in Asia and here. A Holden Vectra here was based from a Vauxhall in the UK which itself was once Opel ? in some models. They also had here the Holden Viva, why they would possibly use that bygone name is a mystery, and from memory the Viva was the 4dr version of one of the last Astra's (rather than simply being "the Astra sedan"). The UK imported-from-Aussie Monaro was badged Vauxhall on the outside yet still had the Holden/HSV badge on the steering wheel. And thats without mentioning the many horrendous Daewoo-based models and whatever else not mentioned! The staff product knowledge nights must have been tough.

I don't think there's anything wrong with GM cars, there's a guy who parks his 2017 Holden Spark just up the road from us, GM long struggled with small cars but the Spark looks very nice, stylish with heaps of wedge and nicely done guards, they nicked the rear door handles from the old Alfa 156 and hid them in the C-pillar.
GM knew they got a bad rap with the ZB Commodore, car makers do not want a bad reputation or a model that is heavily criticized, shame because it is actually a decent car. Look at the handsome flared guards on the VE/VF Commodore and compare them to the tiny little guards on the ZB, the VE/VF is clearly the better looking car, I'm sure I could go on about the Commodore controversy but this has been done many times already.
I'm glad GM are sticking around here in this part of the world with their GM Speciality Vehicles.
