toyota have stopped making engine mounts for a 2001 generation one prius the local toyota dealer says they are obsolete and aftermarket parts seem to be unobtainable ,any help would be appriciated thanks
Very rare for Toyota or any manufacturer to have reasonable prices btw. Even so terrible that it is 20 years and obsolete! The crazy thing is that if their prices were reasonable they'd have every reason to keep supplying parts due to demand!

other than shipping in from overseas you might need to do some out of the box thinking. There is likely a mount that with some modification will do the job or reusing the metal components and having the rubber replaced with nolathane

shipping batterys is ultra expensive a shorted lithium battery can or will bring down a aircraft as there is no putting out a lithium battery fire. i recon that malasia flight was on fire from batterys melting its wiring for communication then the drive by wire system to steer it. IT is why the shipping of battery have to have a phone number on packet and someone calling this number has to pick up phone and give details after 3 rings or so. or a 70tousend doller us fine will be enforced upon the shipper of the goods= why it costs a absolute fortune to transport lithium ion battery. the figures i quoted are ballpark to illustrate the cost research your self.

I would be surprised if aftermarket engine mounts were unavaliable for a recent model from 2001.

yea i just point out they soon need more then only a engine mount. the mk1 goes in to turtle mode when the battery starts to go dead.
