So physically installing cruise is equal to plugging a new component into your computer. NOW it has to be "installed"
Easiest option is a Toyota franchise dealer

Hey are there any professionals in or near Wellington who do this? I have the stuff ready but am not really that technical. Was a gift from nephew, he in stalled it but it's not working.

yea that may never work as a prius is a complex electric and petrol driven vehicle. You would need factory toyota equipment and then factory toyota scantool to programm the crouse control in to the vehicle. i am surprised it dont already has cruise control. my 200 bora and my 2003 astra both had cruise control

Cruise control standard on the G and G's spec from 2015 onwards, so it's possible to retro fit. It's just basic cruise control too, not adaptive/radar like on the higher end Toyotas and Lexus.
