Dunno quite how to explain this

intrade, Jun 22, 10:09pm
thats how you make a ford reliable. I can see problems with the door windows.

ARRRGH SOMEONE HAS BUTCHERED AN ANGLEBOX!

alowishes, Jun 22, 11:50pm
Kool!
Very ingenious.

An Angia looking vehicle should only ever have a kent or Corvette engine in it.

gph1961, Jun 22, 11:59pm
could say . Oh Pooh you are a bear of too much tummy and too little brain BUT I like it

skiff1, Jun 23, 1:12am
That is certainly quite something….
Exactly what I couldn’t say, and I’m concerned for the perpetrator’s stability.

Sad. That person needs help.

xs1100, Jun 23, 3:36am
brilliant

bill1451, Jun 23, 4:06am
Certainly be nothing else like it on the road, if it ever gets finished and certified.
"Anglota"

stevo2, Jun 23, 4:12am
Good to see some people still pushing the boundaries a little. At least he didnt chop up anything good to build it.
Would be good to see it finished.

tamarillo, Jun 23, 6:14am
Love it

amasser, Jun 23, 6:11pm
Ugly parents make ugly babies but, at least, it is red.

alowishes, Jun 23, 9:48pm
Exactly!

Hubby had a plan to put a smallblock Chrysler 360 into a 2 door, (?), Vauxhall Victor some years ago. He got hold of the Chrysler CJ car with the engine in it for a test run and ended up keeping the whole car lol. So that project didn't go ahead, (he had a friend who had put a 283 into a VV and that was rather interesting to drive - not slow at all). Anyway he did previously to that put a Ford Transit 2Litre V4 into an anglia ( the 100e type looking one). That was a bit of a mission. Car was fairly fast after that. Some challenges were - making a custom header setup for the exhausts, modifying the sump so it fitted round the crossmembers, modifying the Clutch thrust lever arm mount and clutch plate so the engine, using a bellhousing from a Ford Corsair, married up to the Anglia 4 speed box. It kept him busy for a while.

there is medicine for that condition now

socram, Jun 24, 1:08am
Personally, I would prefer that a Ford has a Ford engine, but I note that many Hot Rods are a mix of Ford/GM.

As someone else has pointed out, chopping up an Anglia isn't exactly taking a rare expensive car out of circulation. At least rego is on hold which cuts out a whole raft of problems.

Good luck with getting that through LVVTA but good to see that Kiwi ingenuity isn't dead yet.

If it looked like a standard anglia when finished I would be impressed.

That top chop spoils it.

You allso get the pleasure of an overly cushoned steering wheel, massive darth vader 90s style dash and no yesteryear charm, even if they didnt screw it up, theres nothing like the feel of a slender bakelite steering wheel, a cold steel dash, and the throaty sound of the pushrod engine as the diff whines like music, anyone who dosent grasp that need not own something like an anglia.
