"Timing belts been done". Yep, just the timing belt, nothing else was done.
To tell the truth I'm thinking of replacing just the timing belt when I replace a waterpump & thermostat soon. Both cars have been sitting unused for over 2 years. I figure the belt will deteriorate without use but the bearings shouldn't.

this x1000. Our old work car snapped it's cambelt which had apparently been changed a year earlier. Best of all when we towed it to get looked at the mechanic told us it was totally munted, valves and rocker arms are smashed etc. His immediate offer to buy it off us raised some suspicions, so we took it away and one new cambelt change later she was back on the road
