It may be only a "motoring" category problem, but the new format is data hungry: Takes too long to load, and after panning down to read the "description" the page jumps back to the start several times THEN after winning the auction the useless format refuses to show the image on the preview and what was previously available on one page now spreads over two. CHANGE IT BACK TRADEME!

dont know i use linux on a usb pen drive with adblock PLUS and dont see this problem. what i did notice it keeps logging me out on this setup.

My trademe keeps logging in as the 'other' mode & I have to change it to 'Desktop' mode for it to be useable on my tablet. Then when I go into ' Motors' it goes back into the ' other mode' which takes longer to use. I also have to get around the setting to set it to ' Low priced first' by searching for the car brand, waiting till it's all loaded, then resetting it to ' lowest price first' & reloading it all again. Normally in Desktop I can set that as part of the search.
Also, given enough session time, it reverts back to the ' unusable mode ' again. Damn annoying when I want to search my ' Watchlists' because Desktop mode is a much better layout. I might have to reset it 4 or 5+ times if it's the last few minutes before a auction that I am bidding on ends, I have lost a couple of auctions simply because of this, not being able to bid & having to reset, then reset everything again to watchlist in desktop mode to return to that auction. Desktop should be the default layout.
Trademe has messed with it, fixed it for awhile, but it's back to bad now.

did you try the app? i have just had scaling problems on trademe with android nexus 5 marsmallow always updated in google play. normal browser mode think its chrome on it.

nop no problem i wont go bid on cars i use only desctop mode ticked in chrome chrome 89.0. lite mode no noticable issue here.

No argument from me, the "new format" motoring section (not so new now, but anyway) is painfully slow, heavy, and just generally horrible.

I wish Private car listings and Dealer listings could be advertised SEPERATLEY. E.G: Type in Manawatu. u have to search thru page after page of mixed listings looking for private sales. Frustrating as buggery. Is there an easier way? Cheers

Really. I buy dozens of cars a month from dealers and on the odd occasion I try to buy from a private seller it is a major hassle.
Since the public registrations are closed, you must have an invite from a current member to be able to register and post in this thread.
