For a 2007 Corolla Fielder. It is suffering from the typical degradation of Toyotas of that era. I am aware that I can by them online but the waiting time is weeks. Is there any place locally where I can buy one off the shelf, or perhaps wait a week. I've tried supercheap who I have used before with a short wait time but they are saying a 6 week wait or more.

Dash Mat: Just make one! Our 1999 Accord has a light-coloured dash which reflects light on to the windscreen, making driving into sunlight hazardous. I made a light card pattern to accurately fit the rather complex-shaped panel, bought some black carpet from the boat shop, cut it to size and cut holes for the ventilation duct outlets, taped and glued under the joints and fitted into place - perfect! And I am told by one who should know, that if the passenger side airbag should deploy, its lid will just blow the light carpet out of the way. WoF testers have made no comment about it.

Have a look on eBay. The other thing is you could try a claim on Toyota for a new dash if It’s around the airbags. The Prado’s had the same problem from that era. Toyota is still replacing some dashboards in Aussie for free or low price. I got my Prado dash replaced 4 years ago I just had to pay for fitting of the new dash.

Yep I did exactly the same with an Estima I had, I made a template using a roll of masking paper. How well it works depends on how profiled the dash is, and what material you want to use.

Interesting that they don't have covers for the very cars that suffer worse from dash issues - the mid 2000 Bluebird Sylphy or the Lexus IS models.

My Fielder had a damaged and ultra shiny dash surface so I used heavy black canvas type fabric on the roll from a local shop, made a template from cardboard and cut one to fit. Now it's fading and looks less wonderfulI might check out that fitmycar link rather than make another one.
