Im pulling down the engine of my range rover but lot of the bolts are those tapered head multi spline type on the ex manifold & big ends & nothing in my socket set fits imperial or metric . So what do I need to buy to fit . WTF cant they stick to standard hex bolts on everything .
As above. They grip very well and less prone to strip than hex bolts. They have been using them in cars for at least 20 years. Time to update your tool kit!
They are also used in a lot of small electrical devices these days.
