been given a 3 m inflatable free old but still looks ok but its hasnt got an inflator so cant pump it up , no brand name on it so are they a generic thing one size fits all ., presume boat places would sell them .
Have seen one for a thundercat before (They run fairly high air pressure, especially in the hijackers).
Obviously need to be mindful not to pop the boat, and would need a 230v or a really big 4x4 style 12v compressor to fill a boat in a reasonable time.

I saw a pool toy which was the same material as a rib and it was 1.5 psi max, and it was easily as firm as a rib.

3 to 3.5psi is common for boats, but of course it varies by boat. by boat Thunder cat is rated for 3.6psi in the main tubes (people run them at around 7psi when racing). The hijackers get 9PSI I think (all the time).
Gauges are available for purchase, as are electric pumps designed for this purpose.
But I think OP will be well served by a cheapish hand pump. Its a small and free boat.

Could you get an old style vacuum cleaner that blows out the top fitting as well as sucks. Large volume but low pressure. Or was thinking the other day what i could use my leaf blower for--other than leaves, puts out plenty of volume.
