Classic Trucks in NZ

Probably everyone has seen it, the film seems to loop a few times, as the editors re-use some footage. Interesting otherwise with the recycled GMC etc after WW2.

Brilliant series, although a bit repetitive at times. I've had contact with the industry since driving during varsity holidays in the sixties, driving Leyland Comets and Austin Loadstars. Covers the government's (of all shades), obsession with rail quite well and the rapid development of the industry in the last 40 years once the protectionism was removed. Probably the most interesting fact, which I might not have quite right, is that a big rig may cost 300k or 400k, but in its working life will pay RUC fees in the order of over half a million.
