Has any one just got or going for their class 2 licence , was it hard , which was the best way , any got any study notes

Did it a while ago through driver training course. Easy as. Not sure of cost though.

Easy as to do. All it is is learning the road code, then your asked a few Class 2 related questions. If you go through Pass Rite or similar you basically " pay "for your license.

To progress to a full class 2 involves a practical test.

I got my HT license with a few questions and short drive, don't think we left the yard.

I got my class 2 learners several years ago. That bit is easy. Have a medical done, Study the material, and sit the test. You can wait 6 months and then sit the Full licence test without any required training (you provide the truck). This is the cheapest route, but requires access to a truck.
Otherwise you can go through a course which gets rid of the waiting time, and they provide the truck.
Note that to continue to hold a Heavy vehicle licence, you need to get a medical done every few years. I ended up not progressing beyond the learners so let my class 2L lapse.
Training course incorporates the practical test.
Show proof you passed your medical, Pony up your $1400, Study for theory test, sit and pass theory test, Attend two days of theory training. Have two 1.5hr lessons in a truck, Sit and pass practical test. Get class 2 full.
