Anyone got one of these? How do they find it?

tamarillo, Jan 20, 7:55pm
They’ve been making them since early 80’s so please be more specific. They’ve come a hell of a long way and the latest is not bad it seems but company is now under bankruptcy with unknown future,

Not the best looking from the rear. As above company problems, can't foot it with the rest. Each to their own.

Interested in owners or ex-owners comments as well.

I'm looking at 2016-2017 models. Anyone got one?

They are fine as far as a car goes. I have never had one but some friends who have them rate them highly. The thing i would be worried about is getting parts in the future as the company is currently under bankruptcy so no guarantee as to any future support. SsangYong is currently owned by Tata so i suspect it is being cut loose, as a buyer will unlikely be found.

Ok thanks for that.

A guy at work has one (2015) for about 2 yrs and hasn't missed a beat.

Timing chains. Make sure its been done recently. Also cylinder head/valve problems causing loss of compression. Dsi trans issue. The Hyundai powertech in later ones is ok. In the diesel swirl valve actuators fail. Also in the petrol ones hesitation a problem especially when cold after deacceleration

Drive like a bag of shit especially on open road

75% owned by Mahindra not tata.

Son bought new 2017 has done 70k, daughter has 2015 model (4 years) done 90k. No problems, however noticed a slight rattle on start up, but also heard mates Toyota Camry 2017 with same rattle (on start up).
