I'm a student and I love trucks! If you are a trucker could you please tell me about some really interesting journeys you have had? They can be happy, sad, torturous, or awesome! You might have got somewhere just on time, or maybe you delivered something realllllly interesting. Maybe it was snowing or hailing. What was the road like, from where to where, thanks VERY much.

Mighty Moves: Heavy Haulage and House Moving in New Zealand Book by Bee Dawson
Its a good book that shows how big infrastructure in NZ was built, how the industry got everything large onto site. It starts back in the horse and cart days, then steam then right up to modern times, some good story's in there about all the challenges on our goat track roads.

You should visit the Trucking Museum in Invercargill if you can.

Isn't there enough trucking shows on TV to keep you interested: Ice Road Truckers (Alaska) Outback Truckers (Australia) World's most dangerous roads where Lisa from Ice Roads drives a truck on the India / Nepal border. Sorry, I might not of remembered the correct name of the shows
I drove a truck from California to New York , Took 8 days. Was awesome experience, some snow, we slept on the flat deck under a blanket. 1962 Vw dual cab. Truck of sorts. Had to be on time for the ship to U.K. Always wanted to be a truck driver. Heard a massive bang from the engine somewhere in the middle, possiblly Kansas. On closer inspection at home the crankcase had split, sounded like a bag of spanners but made it all the way. loved the adventure
