Having just paid for a replacement key fob I now must wait until mid June for a Nissan Tech to become available to program it costing $250 labour to do, which I'm sure is a 2minute job.
Anyone had any luck doing this themselves? Before I try disconnect/reconnect ECU, Battery, ignition etc?
TIA

Actually its not. You've been quoted that because some of those Nissan imports are pigs to program up, it can (but not always) be time consuming. Blame Nissan Japan and some of the complicated ways they go about simple things, not the agency

alot of cars can be a pain in the ass to programe keys and remotes. Also very time consuming. Also there's the scan tool charge in there.

Ask your local locksmith if they can do it.

Poor Euro technology has been the cause of much of Nissans problems in the last 20 years. Things would be very different without Renaults interference.

Its only $250 all up to have someone like Phoenix smart key services come .supply and cut/program a key/fob for you

Make sure you have all key present , as in most case you erase all keys and load all present ones in on a Nissan. Also ask for the pincode As owner they should give it to you

Shouldn't make any difference.
