I was thinking that if you were planning to buy for [e.g.] a family member who will use it to head off to uni - then maybe think again.The banjo playing boyos at Madwoman Creek Garage, outta Tingarapwai will be dead puzzled by a gently simmering, dessicated Rova powertrain.

The old Rovers of the early 70's with the 3500cc V8 were very reliable.
It has all been downhill from then.

The rot set in at Rover when it was absorbed by British Leyland's evil empire.

Had it stayed independent, there was a chance that Rover could have become the UK's equivalent of BMW.
