Some people say tom walkinshaw was experimenting with lots ofLSD when he invented that bodykit.
"Due to its high use of plastic in the bodykit, it was termed such things as the "Plastic Pig"[citation needed]. With the requirements of Group A regulations, Holden had to have a car capable of being competitive 'straight off the showroom floor'. Thus it needed a bodykit that would produce large amounts of downforce as well as being low drag. TWR developed the famous Walkinshaw bodykit that was stated to reduce drag by more than 25% over the previous Holden Dealer Team SS Group A.
Some people however[who!], say that the bodykit is a direct cause of the so called 'brick wall effect' at about 250??

There's a whole WORLD of difference between an undertray/splitter/diffuser arrangement on a V8SC and the sort of "look at me! Look at me! I'm weally weally fast!" body kits people are talking about on this thread.
The V8SC front diffuser is LITERALLY scraping along the ground, for a start.

So ya havent been to my place then.lol.My brothers used to get the body kits put on their car one day, and then coming home either a rabbit ran out in front of them, or they tried to get up the tanker track/driveway and smashed it all.Couldnt tell you how much they spent all up on fiberglass repairing and matching paint!LOL!Gotta impress dem city folk ya know!

Most cheap bodykits are purely for aesthetics. Most expensive proper bodykits on race cars have benefits such as added downforce and aerodynamics which helps to make the car stable at high speed. They also help to channel air into things such as brakes, intercooler, radiator etc for cooling. These features may not be designed into the standard body kit/front bumper for example as those kind of things arent as required to the same level as a person using the vehicle for racing.

The V8SC cars aren't a falcon or a commodore with a bodykit. The car shells are made as single panels and put together, they're not a factory car with bits added.
Like mentioned above they have a flat tray and a diffuser as well.
That ricer stuff you buy and tack on to your prelude is going to increase drag, weight and wanker factor only.
Anyone serious about aero should contact the user Toxicgreen on here, or go to his website: http://www.topdogcarracing.co.nz/ - he can build Formula LM style diffusers out of mums oven tray and a pack of warehouse pop-rivets that will take a Mazda 323 over 20 million light years a second top speed and run the quartermile so fast you actually go back in time and post a negative time!

Second that time after time they tell you what they are for .and then say the front kit breaks they lose speed lose aero dynamics . OP is what 12yrs old!
