for a 9kg really its moot. with the bigger bottles it pays to shop around

its even moot for cars, i drive 5kms from home to fill my car when there is a lpg servo three blocks away. i save 5 cents a litre, i have a 80 litre tank and usually need aout 70 litres. its not worth the hasssle but i do it to support the station who does there best to offer a cheap price.

Caltex near Mt wellington on abbott way does 34 kg a 9kg bottle. Just checked today 1/11/12
