YEP, Masport now made in China. I got my Masport off the last NZ Made Masport run there was about 5 years ago. Best Mower I have had has been a Honda made in Japan. Brilliant long lasting machine that never fails to start.

It works great, i have learnt though to watch out on the side of the road, it loves Telecom grey Plinths, cuts them and the cables off very neatly.

If 2 stroke, I agree. If you stick to 25:1 and keep the air filter system in perfect conditon, they go forever. They are tough mowers.

Hey,
I bought a Chinese made "Lawn Boss" about 5 years ago. It does 2 x 1/4 acre section every other weekend. has a 19" alloy deck, ball race wheels & an economical 5hp. copy of a Honda OHV motor. I have replaced the blades on it twice now with Honda items after been worn out no worries.
The plastic do look flimsy for sure & when it breaks it will be straight in the bin with it as it doesn't owe me anything, as I paid $280.00 for it.
